Community Transport groups provide an essential service for many individuals and groups. They pick up people from their homes to take them to appointments, shopping, day trips and social clubs. They provide a vital lifeline for those who are not able to get out as often or use public transport, the service gives them the opportunity for social interaction, physical activity and mental stimulation.

Community Transport groups are set up across the country in towns and cities and are supported by local authorities, charitable groups, funding schemes and donations from businesses and individuals. In London details about Community Transport services can be found on the TFL website and nationally on the CTA or GOV website.

We often work with Community Transport groups to provide them with minibuses and wheelchair accessible minibuses. We will include items to help those with reduced mobility who are not wheelchair users, including manual and automatic steps, double fold down steps and grab handles. We can also provide tip up seats, bariatric seats, and removable seats in a number of trims including Ambla which is an easy clean material.

We recently built minibuses for a Community Transport in London. This group provide minibus services for non profit groups such as pensioner clubs, churches, social clubs and more. They also arrange their own services such as weekly shopping trips and silver day trippers for those who are more mobile to places such as Windsor on non wheelchair accessible minibuses.
