We did it! Stanford Coachworks  took part in the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride on Sunday 24th September, riding alongside 92000 people across the globe supporting prostate cancer and men’s mental health.  Stanford Coachworks took part in the Southend-on-sea ride, the group met in Shoeburyness and rode through the town along the A13 to meet again in Old Leigh where a local restaurant The Boatyard welcomed the riders with tea/coffee and refreshments.

The riders enjoyed a rest with a sunny view of the seaside while the classic bikes and scooters were displayed outside for the passing visitors to view. The group then made their way back to Shoeburyness along the Southend seafront. What a spectacle to see going past the beach and bright lights of the arcades!

It was a great day and amazing to see all the different scooters and motorbikes. Everyone made a real effort and looked dapper in their finest gear – the facial hair was groomed to perfection.  Our team managed to raise £2080 pounds and the event in total is just shy of their $5 million goal but there’s still time to donate and help these great causes!

Thank you again to everyone who donated to our team and helped us to raise money to help these two great causes, Prostate cancer research and men’s mental health

Watch our little video to view the gentlefolk riding through the seaside town.
