Stanford Coachworks at the London EV Show

We have had a fantastic time collaborating with Heathrow Van Centre to exhibit our latest innovative e-SCW conversion at the London EV Show.

We partnered with Heathrow Van Centre earlier this year to introduce a UK first into the wheelchair accessible vehicle and minibus market. After plenty of hard work, we are finally proud to offer our innovative conversions on the all-electric Maxus eDeliver 9. These conversions are fully M1 and M2 brake approved and have been built and tested to the highest safety standards. Plus, they are now available for our clients to order!

What is the London EV Show?

The London EV Show is a top EV exhibition which provides a global meeting place for leading EV businesses to showcase the latest models, next-generation electrification technology, innovative products and solutions to the industry. The three-day event was the perfect opportunity for anyone looking to learn more about the vast industry. With the latest and greatest that the EV industry has to offer on display, attendees were able to venture around the huge selection of minibuses, vans, cars and more.

We also had a brand-new product that we wanted to share with the EV industry, and what better place to introduce it than at the London EV Show! Our partnership with Heathrow Van Centre has resulted in a state-of-the-art fully-electric Maxus eDeliver 9, which we have converted into a premium wheelchair accessible vehicle. The vehicle can facilitate up to eight seated passengers or three wheelchairs with seats removed and features an executive grey interior with striking orange accents.

Our time at the London EV Show

The show took place over three days beginning on Tuesday 29th November. Each day proved exceptionally busy and our Maxus, perfectly positioned by a main hall entrance, received much well-deserved attention. Over these three days, multiple members of the SCW team were on hand to walk attendees through the vehicle and answer any questions. The electric WAV was well-received by all and we obtained much praise for our conversion.

The London EV Show also gave us the opportunity to meet with existing clients, giving them the chance to get a first-hand look at the new vehicle. Many of our local authority clients, especially those based in busy towns and cities, are understandably trying to source greener transport solutions, so the London EV Show was the perfect central meeting place for them to come and view the vehicle, amongst a variety of innovative EV technology.

Joining us on the Heathrow Van Centre stand were two additional Maxus eDeliver 9’s with innovative conversions. The first Maxus, converted by Polar Truck & Van, has been converted into a fully-refrigerated vehicle. The second Maxus, converted by Legend Global, featured a traditional working van layout with a premium twist of extras such as insulated lining, roofing and specialist flooring.

Thank you, Heathrow Van Cenre

Overall, we had an incredibly successful time at the London EV Show with Heathrow Van Centre and we cannot thank them enough for organising a fantastic three-day event. We look forward to continuing our partnership with them to introduce more electric accessible minibuses into the market.

Didn’t manage to get to the show? Our Maxus eDeliver 9 conversion is available for demonstrations with the SCW team. Contact us today for further information.
