Two New PTS Ambulances for Hampshire-based Medical Care Provider.

This month Stanford Coachworks have converted the first two of six brand-new Peugeot Boxer PTS ambulances for Hampshire-based medical care provider Ambulance Services 24.

Ambulance Services 24 are a paramedic-run company specialising in providing patient transfer services to the NHS, European patient repatriation, mental health and bariatric transfers, along with medical cover for sports & social events, film, television, etc. The organisation is led by an experienced team with NHS trauma, pre-hospital and primary care experience. This fantastic team allows Ambulance Services 24 to provide high-quality medical care to their clients.

Accessibility

Sufficient Storage

Sufficient storage and easy access to medical equipment was a priority when designing Ambulance Services 24’s vehicles, so we included a number of helpful features. In place of the front cabin passenger seat, we have installed a U-shaped luggage pen for the storage of wheelchairs and other accessibility equipment. Piped oxygen, oxygen bottle storage points and overhead lockers have also been fitted in the rear passenger saloon.

To support their expanding business, Ambulance Services 24 have taken delivery of their first two brand-new L3H2 Peugeot Boxers, converted into fully-equipped PTS ambulances. Designed specifically to meet their requirements, each vehicle can facilitate up to four passengers in the rear saloon, two wheelchair users or one stretcher with seats removed. For quick cleaning between use, we upholstered the interior of both vehicles using fully wipe clean materials in Ambulance Services 24’s chosen colour scheme.

Ambulance Services 24 provide care to a wide variety of clients, so it is important to ensure that their vehicles are accessible for everyone. Each PTS ambulance features a heavy-duty fold-out ramp and winch for wheelchair and stretcher access via the rear entrance. For other clients, a manual side step fitted below the side door entrance has been installed.

Interior Design

The Handover

Stanford Coachworks’ Paul Dedman had the pleasure of handing over the first two new PTS Ambulances to Martin Rogers and the Ambulance Services 24 team when they visited our site last week. Paul spent time with the team to demonstrate all of the features of their new vehicles with which Ambulance Services 24 were incredibly pleased.

We would like to say thank you to Ambulance Services 24 for choosing Stanford Coachworks and we wish them all the best with their new PTS ambulances. We are looking forward to converting their next four vehicles very soon!
